Episode Five Of 'Survivor' Promises Conflict

Kimmi Vs. Alicia: This Could Get Ugly

There's surprisingly little buzz about this week's episode -- perhaps it'll be a little more low-key than previous episodes. Or perhaps the shocks of this week are being carefully hidden. Anyway, here's what we know:

Perhaps Kimmi's consistent and often very vocal distaste for meat-eating will spark an already tense group. Kimmi has been without allies in the Kucha since the beginning, and her staunch belief in vegetarianism has often been the source of conflict.

However, she has remained in the tribe, primarily because the Kucha has won three straight immunity challenges. If the Kucha loses this week, odds are that Kimmi will be ousted instead of kindly 53-year-old teacher Rodger, who has thoroughly endeared himself to the group.

Fight over Colby: Having lost the past three immunity challenges, the Ogakor tribe is pared down to five members. Now without Mitchell and Maralyn, the two physically weakest members, they are probably favored to win this week's immunity challenge, as long as number of tribe members is not crucial to success.

However, far stranger things have happened than another Ogakor loss. If so, the power rests with 26-year-old auto designer Colby, whose allegiance has wavered between the two Ogakor alliances: one consisting of 30-year-old aspiring actress Jerri and 22-year-old administrative assistant Amber, and the other being the newly unified alliance of 40-year-old nurse Tina and 40-year-old chef Keith.

So expect a tug-of-war for Colby's favor throughout this episode. Going on the results of last week's episode, it seems apparent that he is leaning toward Tina and Keith. This spells ousting for Jerri, the more combative and domineering of the two remaining Ogakorians.

Who smells?: According to CBS' Survivor Web site, there will be a to-do over one contestant's poor hygiene. The site hints toward it being a woman, saying "someone hasn't been cleaning herself." Apparently this will annoy fellow tribesmates. Your guess is as good as mine.
